I remember visiting Oxford University a few years ago and enduring a horrible storm. Though it was raining hard, I remember feeling like Oxford was the most magical place in the world. The buildings, landscape, and town sparkled after the rain. It was lovely. Thanks for the chance to win!
I absolutely love the rain. Dancing in it, sleeping to it, and reading to it...really, doing just about anything with rain :) Great stuff. And it makes the plants bright and green :D
This is one of the best giveaways I've ever entered! It's so fun! Last time we had a huge thunder and lightning storm it was crazy excellent- I went out in the wild weather just as it started at night to bring my rabbit inside, five minutes later I was watching and hearing the rain, lightning and thunder from the safety of my mother's bed, where we gasped in amazement at the wonder of it. It was beautiful.
I absolutely love thuderstorms! Especially when they are long lasting and at night when you can see the lightning light up the night sky! They always remind me of a summer as a kid. A friends and I had sleepovers all the time and we used to love to watch them from the window. :)
We carpool from school with my neighbours, and one day, my neighbour left me behind. So I thought; I don't live that far away from school. I'm sure I'll find my way home. But I didn't; I got lost and didn't find my way home for three hours (and I didn't have my mobile phone with me!). And what made it even worse was that is started raining half-way, so by the time I got home I was soaked to the skin. And I had a terrible cold for the next week!
I love the rain and storms, though there better if I don't have to walk through them and can cuddle up in my bed and read. I remember the tree in my front yard got struck by lightning and fell down when I was younger, It was pretty scary at the time.
I love rain because its very soothing. I like the smell cos its the smell of fresh rain and something that brings life to us. I especially love thunderstorms cos I love watching the powerful lightning streak across the sky with no qualms of who it kills or what it destroys.
I love thunderstorms, the louder the better. One night a very loud thunderclap hit and rattled the windows in our house and my 4 year old grandson said "do it again grandma." So I said some magic words and stretched my arms out and another one hit even louder. The look on my grandsons face was priceless.
I love a good storm. When I was a kid, I would always go out in the rain to look for the little orange salamanders. They would always come out at that time and they're such cute little things. Rain also makes for good reading. :-)
My favorite thunderstorm story was from when I was a kid- my mom and I were sitting on our front porch in Florida and there was this fantastic thunderstorm. There was so much lightning and the sky turned this dark purple color, even though it was about 4 in the afternoon. And all the earthworms came up out of the ground :)
I don't have a story but I absolutely love a good storm. I like when everything calms before the storm, the birds stop chirping, and then the wind picks up, and then the thunder and lightning start. Lauren
Rain is good luck, ever since my grandparents got married on a rainy day...each of their kids were born on a rainy day. My grandfather died in 1992 (I still miss him terribly) so he missed my wedding and the birth of my daughter. The day after I gave birth to my daughter, I looked out the window and saw rain. It was a PERFECTLY sunny day with NO clouds in the sky. We were on the second story but my hubby ran to the window to see if someone was washing the windows or something similar...nothing. Geez, still brings tears to my eyes...yep, gramps was with us on that special day!!!
We have had some ridiculous summer storms (tornadoes, hail, the whole nine yards) already here this spring - I am NOT looking forward to a whole summer of storms!
i don't have a story, but i love thunderstorms as long as they don't lead to tornadoes!! it's the perfect weather to just stay at home and read a book while listening to the thunder and rain : )
I love rain, if I'm inside. It's so nice to curl up with a good book while listening to rain beating on the roof. I hate rain, if I'm outside. I don't like to be wet, and if I get rain in my ears they pain for three or four days. Go me!
I love the rain! It is the perfect time to stay at home with a nice book & a cup of coffe. But I have to admit the last storm I experienced wasn't so good, a tree fall & the power went off for two days, so not the best opportunity to catch up with my reading pile =(
I love rain because I am a nurse on night shift. If it is raining, it makes it so nice to be able to sleep. It's dark out and the rain is a natural white noise machine to drown out everything going on outside!! It makes me want to have rain now, but I gotta go to work now. Darn!!
I love rain - only if I'm sitting at home, cozy and warm, preferably with a book by my side... :) It kind of soothes the soul... at least for me. :) Thanks for the giveaway, best regards, Diana. ^^
I love the rain and thunderstorms because it's so calming but lately my dog is really scared of thunderstorms which led to her being scared of rain, so I've been starting to dread them.
i love rain ^^ and storms just are awesome. i love to watch out of my window or stay on my balcony and get wet XD it's kind of soothing and terrefying all at once.
I love how gorgeous rain is. As Taylor Swift says, "There's something about the way the street looks when it just rains; there's a glow off the pavement..." Well, yeah. I think rain is beautiful. Clean. New. Refreshing. I love it.
I love the rain! I just wished I lived out in the country so I could see it's full beauty instead of the dirtiness running along the curb toward the gutter...
I don't have any good rain or storm stories. I love rainy or stormy days for the obvious reason that we always need the rain and I love the scent. But I also like how the stormy days give me energy and the rainy days make me reflective in my emotions.
Thanks for participating in the hop and for the giveaway opportunity.
Ooh, your prices/idea is so cool! I really like it!!!
About rain.. I have no cool story, unfortunately. As a child I often dreamt of thunderstorms hunting me. oô I do like rain, as long as it doesn't totally surprise me in the wrong moment. *grin*
I'm from the Pacific Northwest and so rain is like a second part of me. Living in the Midwest for the last year has been really weird because I'm so used to being wet.
The rain can be anything it wants. It can be tough, it can be soft. It can be warm. It can be cold. That's why I love the rain. Because it isn't constant.
I love the smell of rain and i love thunderstorms (as long as it's not a full week straight, i start to get cabin fever then). I do not like tornadoes though and yet i live in the heart of tornado alley with no storm shelter?...
I love a good thunderstorm at night. It sounds cool. I hate rain during the day; it makes the day seem so dreary. I'd be happiest if it was always sunny during the day, and it could rain whenever it wanted to at night. Thanks for the giveaway.
i absolutely love the rain!! and it seems to love me back because it seems to follow me around!! when i went to visit australia the day i launded in adelaide it rained after a week i went to port peire where it rarley rained, it rained like no tomorrow and farmers were so shocked but happy for their crops!! then i went to melbourne and it rained so bad the minute i stepped in the hotel!! ya, weird concidence but i didnt mind since i really love the rain!
by the way thanks for the oppurtinuty, you are awesome!!!! when i was writing my wish list, i accidently pressed enter, so i ll rewrite it here: rangers apprentice book 5 by john flanagan, untamed by p.c. cast and clockwork angel by cassandra clare. thanks so much!!! passant
I absolutely love it when it rains, like a really good shower in the middle of the hottest part of the summer and it's something that just sort of happens spontaneously and then goes away not to happen again for a good while. The only thing that I don't care for is when it turns into a crazy storm, filled with lightening (because it terrify's me and sends me into serious panic mode) and thunder knocking the elenctricity out. That's theh part that sucks about it.
Thank you, so much for hosting this amazing giveaway. :)
I guess my rain memory would be more of a general thing, rather than one specific one. There were a couple times in college where a friend or group of friends and I would just go run around and splash and laugh in the pouring rain. It was always just this amazing time. Although it always took FOREVER for my jeans to dry. lol.
We got caught in a storm once when we went camping. Our tent almost flew away with the strong wind, and it ripped. It was raining really really hard and we had to sleep under trees, and even though it sounds rough, it was actually really exciting and incredibly wet.
I love & hate the rain. I love the rain when I don't have to work & I can sleep in & snuggle under the covers & I hate the rain when I have to walk to work & I get wet & I catch a cold.
I love the sound of the rain when it hits my roof for some reason. And I also think that rainy days are the perfect time to read a book and drink hot chocolate.
If i am not going anywhere i LOOOOVE the rain, but i am not a fan of driving in it, because lets face it, people forget how to drive in the rain for some reason!
I love the rain. It has always been soothing to me. In the past couple of years here in the South , you don't get simply rain without tornadoes, or severe storms:(
I'm not that I have any spectacular stories about the rain, but I can tell you about the crazy weather we've been having in my part of Canada over the last few weeks. Up until last week, every other week we have alternated between getting snow and rain. I'll wake up one morning with the ground completely covered in the white stuff and a few days later, it'll be raining. I don't understand it at all. I can't think of a time when we've had weather like that. Ever. I think we've finally finished with the snow (I think I just jinxed myself) and I'm actually typing this while sitting outside in the sunshine!
In general, I love the rain when I'm inside and can watch and listen to it fall. Plus, nothing beats that smell outside after a good rain shower.
Well, I love rain, it's so nice and refreshing, just so long as it doesn't wreak any of my books!! It just clears the air, and makes things all nice and clean :)
I like the rain sometimes. When it rains, I like to just relax and read a book or watch a good movie. Today it was gloomy most of the day, but at one point, the sun came out and it was still raining. I love when that happens! Thank you for the giveaway!
I love when it rains. I get so depressed when it is sunny and hot. I like thunder storms a little but I am also scared of them. I love taking pictures or video of lightning.
Hi, thank u for this amazing giveaway and making it international.
I love when it rains. I don't know, but I think rain is kinda romantic. Now is rainy season in my country, and sometimes I'd got home in totally wet. But hey, I loved it anyway :)
I don't mind the rain or the thunder, but lightening scares me - in our old apartment, hubs got a shock through the stove when lightening struck the tree in our front yard! He hopped around the whole place saying he had been electrocuted, lol! It was quite a sight ;) Thanks for the giveaway!
When I was a kid after a long rainstorm we would play in the flooded areas of the streets which now grosses me out, not sanitary at all. But hey I was a kid I didn't care. Thanks for the chance to win!
I hate thunderstorms, but I always run around in the rain in the summer. It makes me feel like a kid again. Yes, the neighbors all laugh at me- but some of them have joined in eventually. :)
I love the rain because there is nothing like spending a cozy day at home, listening to the rain, wearing sweats, cuddling under blankets, and reading a book. I hate storms because they always wake up the kids and no one ever gets any sleep on those nights. Lori
My mood about rain is unpredictable, sometimes I love rain when its really hot and suddenly it rains but sometimes I hate too because when I forgot to bring an umbrella, that sort of things. ;P -Riz B. Thank you for this Awesome Giveaway!
When it's really hot, I like to stand in the rain. But in the winter, it only makes the weather colder and more depressing..
The funniest thing I had was playing a scene from The Notebook with my boyfriend :p Running into his arms and kissing while the rain poured from the sky.
I love the rain and thunderstorms, too! I used to have to listen to a Thunderstorms CD in order to fall asleep!! I find the sound of the rain so relaxing, and the rumbling of thunder just makes me want to snuggle down into my bed!
i just love watching the rain, it's so therapeutic! I always used to stand in my grandad's porch watching the rain with him when I was younger and it's nice to remember him that way. I messed up my wishlist entry - rampant, everneath, and darkness before dawn x
When I was a kid I love rain! I love playing in it. Now as an adult, I forgot the joys of rain and whenever it rains it is just an annoyance that gets me wet when am hurrying from a building to my car...
Oh I love rain as long as I'm not under it.. It would be fun to play in the rain, to run around like they do in the movies but it's no fun to get soaked after a long day of school/work. So as long as I'm at home, with a book in my lap I love it. Storms are kind of relaxing :D Thanks for the great giveaway and for making it international!
I love the rain and storms because I feel safer in them. It sounds weird, but it's true. I feel scared as I watch them, but at the same time there's this overwhelming power of safety. That nature is more powerful then we ever imagined and it can get out of control but if I just sit and watch and wait, I'll be safe.
But then, I've never experienced an amazingly bad storm so this could be another reason for it! :)
I know logically as an adult that it is the lightening that can cause the damage, but for some reason the thunder is what scares me. When I was a child we had a thunder and lightening storm and I was hurrying up the stairs to get inside the apartment when the lightening struck. It did not hit me, but was very very close (I understand now that it hit the grounding) and while I was of course terrified, it was the thunder that was so very loud after that big crack LOL. Ahhhh the ignorance of youth is bliss :) Thank you so much for this incredibly generous participation in this giveaway hop!
It was rain that taught me you should never fully rely on an electronic hand-held translator to try and communicate in a foreign language... When I was 17, I spent six months in South America as a foreign exchange student. My Spanish was very limited when I first arrived. The shower set up in the house required lighting a pilot light to get the hot water heated, so for obvious reasons, there were some concerns with the gringa doing it herself... No problem. When I was ready to take a shower, I busted out my trusty little translator, and awkwardly stumbled my way through explaining that I would like a shower... I was met with dead silence and stares of utter confusion. Took several more attempts at explaining, and a very poorly played game of charades before we finally got past the language barrier and they understood what I was asking... Stupid translator had me asking for a rain shower... I don't think I even bothered using that electric translator again after that.
I like rain. No, I love rain. Especially the smell when it's over. It's refreshing. I like water so maybe I like rain because of that. Yeah, I'm a water person. I don't like thunder, tho. Hate it. It scares the hell out of me.
I like rain and thunderstorms. I was never afraid of sounds of thunder, even as a child. Once I was riding a bike very late in the evening during a heavy rain with lots of lightning and thunder, and it was an exciting experience.
There is lot to love about rain. I love the sound on the foor which rain makes. I love the smell of grass after rain early in the spring. I love August rainstorms which are combined with rainbows!
I LOVE rain so much, but not drizzle. I love thunderstorms, because it's sort of thrilling watching the storm clouds and thunder. I love it. I don't know why. But it makes me want to drink some tea and read a good book. :D
Rain is so commonplace to me that I don't have any really great "during a storm" stories. My dog hates thunder, so we spent most of our time keeping him calm, but there's nothing greater than splashing through mud puddles once the rain stops.
I hate rain. I can see from the previous comments that I'm the only one. But when you live in a country ( Greece ) with a wonderful sun, when it is raining, we are very unhappy. Thank you for the great giveaway! Artemis
I love rain and thunderstorms! :) I love the sound of thunder and I always sleep really well when there is a thunderstorm going on. I love the smell of rain, especially at night or right after someone has cut grass. It is the best! :)
I love rain. Rainy day is the perfect time to curl up on your bed with a good book and some cookies :D I hate thunderstorm, though. It gives me the creeps >.<
I love both the rain and thunderstorms. I grew up along the coast and it rains probably more than it doesn't. You'd think that might make me hate it, but once you get used to something, it becomes a comfort. Living away from the coast showed me how much I loved and missed the rain. There's nothing more soothing than falling asleep to the pitter patter of a good storm on your window pane :) It's also the best background noise for reading!
I've always loved thunderstorms, ever since I was little. Other kids would judge me for that, but I couldn't help it, I loved the deep rolling of thunders and the sight of lightnings. No awesome love story to share about it though, sorry. ;)
I've always loved the rain. Mostly because I live in India and it's almost ALWAYS scorching hot here..when it rains, it's really pleasant and that's very rare. I like goin on drives when it rains..especially along the beach :P
i enjoy the rainy time while reading a books with a glass of hot milk, either i hate it also because i cant have a walk with my dog in afternoon. thanks for the giveaway ^^
I've always liked to sleep in when it's raining. I think it's a very soothing sound when you hear rain pattering on the roof. However, I don't like the thunderstorms that sometimes come with them. Since the EF5 tornado that ripped my hometown apart, and took my home, I've been pretty jumpy about storms. So I'll take just a nice gentle rain any time.
I don't have any really interesting stories but I remember when I was a kid I would dance around and do cartwheels out in the rain. LOL I like rain. :)
I love dancing in the rain. Since I live in Florida we get some doozy storms. The last hurricane that came through, me and my friends had a dance party in out in the storm. Of course, that isn't the smartest thing to do, but it was fun!
i love the rain!! the smell of a fresh rain! my wishlist contains hunger games!!! but thats 3 books sooo the first Vampire acadamey book is sooo number 1 on my list!
I have a hate/love relationship with rain. I love the rain in the summer time. I hate the rain when it's 40 degrees or less. Cold rain is the worst! I also don't have appropriate shoes for rain weather, my winter boots are not meant for "wet" weather so when it's 40 and raining, I'm stuck with winter boots or summer flats. I need some in betweens!
i love the rain, but there are times that i don't like it.. especially when im going out with friends..i get stuck inside the house and miss all the fun! :(
I like rain. The sound, the air after rain, rainbow When he's done. A storm .. beauty of it is too :)) but sometimes it can ruin your fun even when you're going for a walk or a barbecue with friends akajra@hotmail.cz
I don't have any great stories, but I love the rain because it always makes you feel so much cosier inside, at it's so atmospheric. Also, the sound of the rain is quite soothing I think. :)

I remember visiting Oxford University a few years ago and enduring a horrible storm. Though it was raining hard, I remember feeling like Oxford was the most magical place in the world. The buildings, landscape, and town sparkled after the rain. It was lovely. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the rain! It tends to make me sleepy and lazy, just want to stay in bed and read all day long! =)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the rain. Dancing in it, sleeping to it, and reading to it...really, doing just about anything with rain :) Great stuff. And it makes the plants bright and green :D
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best giveaways I've ever entered! It's so fun!
ReplyDeleteLast time we had a huge thunder and lightning storm it was crazy excellent- I went out in the wild weather just as it started at night to bring my rabbit inside, five minutes later I was watching and hearing the rain, lightning and thunder from the safety of my mother's bed, where we gasped in amazement at the wonder of it. It was beautiful.
I love the rain! Smells nice and makes an awesome day for reading!!! :)
ReplyDeleteVivian M
I absolutely love thuderstorms! Especially when they are long lasting and at night when you can see the lightning light up the night sky! They always remind me of a summer as a kid. A friends and I had sleepovers all the time and we used to love to watch them from the window. :)
ReplyDeleteI love rain when I'm at home, near the fireplace, reading a book, while I hate it when I'm outside: I hate walking with the umbrella!:)
ReplyDeleteI love rain when it's been hot and sunny. When it rains the earth almost breathes.
ReplyDeletesusand1408 at googlemail dot com
We carpool from school with my neighbours, and one day, my neighbour left me behind. So I thought; I don't live that far away from school. I'm sure I'll find my way home. But I didn't; I got lost and didn't find my way home for three hours (and I didn't have my mobile phone with me!). And what made it even worse was that is started raining half-way, so by the time I got home I was soaked to the skin. And I had a terrible cold for the next week!
ReplyDeletei don't like the rain, i know it's useful and all but i'm hurting when it's raining and nobody like hurting so ^^;;
ReplyDeletethanks you a lot for this original giveaway
I love the rain and storms, though there better if I don't have to walk through them and can cuddle up in my bed and read.
ReplyDeleteI remember the tree in my front yard got struck by lightning and fell down when I was younger, It was pretty scary at the time.
I love the rain, not thunderstorms though they kill my internet connection.... I love the smell just before the first drops fall. Breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteI only love the rain if I'm able to stay home and read or sleep during it!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteI love when it's raining and cold, so I can stay at home reading, watching TV and eating :D
Hugs,
Yago.
I love rain because its very soothing. I like the smell cos its the smell of fresh rain and something that brings life to us. I especially love thunderstorms cos I love watching the powerful lightning streak across the sky with no qualms of who it kills or what it destroys.
ReplyDeleteI love thunderstorms, the louder the better. One night a very loud thunderclap hit and rattled the windows in our house and my 4 year old grandson said "do it again grandma." So I said some magic words and stretched my arms out and another one hit even louder. The look on my grandsons face was priceless.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you can hear the drops drumming on your windows
ReplyDeleteI love the rains when I can smell the lovely perfume of wet mud :) Plus I like being cozy indoors and watching the rains
ReplyDeleteI love the rain because it smells fresh. I could do without the mud though...ick.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of rain!
ReplyDeleteI really don't like rain, it completely ruins my mood. I prefer to be inside when it's raining.
ReplyDeleteI love a good storm. When I was a kid, I would always go out in the rain to look for the little orange salamanders. They would always come out at that time and they're such cute little things. Rain also makes for good reading. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love being all warm, cosy and curled up with a cup of tea and a book when there's a thunderstorm. Also, I love the smell after rain. So refreshing.
ReplyDeleteChristina K. in the rafflecopter
ReplyDeleteWhen I was really young my friend and I swore we saw a ghost in the living room when it was pouring outside;)
I love summer rains or night rains, the sound and smell of it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thunderstorm story was from when I was a kid- my mom and I were sitting on our front porch in Florida and there was this fantastic thunderstorm. There was so much lightning and the sky turned this dark purple color, even though it was about 4 in the afternoon. And all the earthworms came up out of the ground :)
ReplyDeleteI love it when it rains at night :) makes my sleep way way better :D
ReplyDeleteI don't have a story but I absolutely love a good storm. I like when everything calms before the storm, the birds stop chirping, and then the wind picks up, and then the thunder and lightning start.
ReplyDeleteLauren
I love rain!! Smell when rain stop and make air cool, and when i really like hear rain with a book in my lap and a mug hot chocolate....hhmmmm :)
ReplyDeleteI love the rainy days as what else can you do but pile up and read!
ReplyDeleteI hate thunder, It is one of my biggest fear.
ReplyDeleteRain is good luck, ever since my grandparents got married on a rainy day...each of their kids were born on a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteI find the sound of raining soothing to sleep to. I like thunderstorms because I get an evil satisfaction seeing 2 of my 3 cats freak out.
ReplyDeleteacm05atjuno.com
We have had some ridiculous summer storms (tornadoes, hail, the whole nine yards) already here this spring - I am NOT looking forward to a whole summer of storms!
ReplyDeleteSince we were in a horrible drought last summer here in Texas, I love rain! I hated hearing about the fires that destroyed so many peoples' homes.
ReplyDeletei don't have a story, but i love thunderstorms as long as they don't lead to tornadoes!! it's the perfect weather to just stay at home and read a book while listening to the thunder and rain : )
ReplyDeleteYOU MUST read "Unraveling Isobel by Eileen Cook"!!! I'm not a big fan of the rain though lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity!
I love rain, if I'm inside. It's so nice to curl up with a good book while listening to rain beating on the roof. I hate rain, if I'm outside. I don't like to be wet, and if I get rain in my ears they pain for three or four days. Go me!
ReplyDeletei like a little rain but hate rainstorms and thunder, they scare me
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway! I love rain and thunderstorms because the sound is so soothing and I love to curl up and read!
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it shows, somehow, that there is hope. It cleans the air. However, I am afraid of thunderstorms.
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it cools the air down. It's great over the summer after a very hot week.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell after the rain, and I especially miss it in the winters here when all I get is snow.
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it's so peaceful and calm! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the rain when I'm going to be home all day there is just something soothing & calm about it. Thanks for the giveaway =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I like falling asleep to the sound of rain outside, but I don't like walking to class in it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the rain! It is the perfect time to stay at home with a nice book & a cup of coffe. But I have to admit the last storm I experienced wasn't so good, a tree fall & the power went off for two days, so not the best opportunity to catch up with my reading pile =(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I love rain because I am a nurse on night shift. If it is raining, it makes it so nice to be able to sleep. It's dark out and the rain is a natural white noise machine to drown out everything going on outside!! It makes me want to have rain now, but I gotta go to work now. Darn!!
ReplyDeleteI love rain - only if I'm sitting at home, cozy and warm, preferably with a book by my side... :) It kind of soothes the soul... at least for me. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway, best regards, Diana. ^^
I love the rain....I sleep so good during a storm. It's all dark and the sound is relaxing....I actually love thunder also :D
ReplyDeleteI love the rain because I can sleep through it even when it storms I hate it cuz it makes me sleepy lol
ReplyDeleteI love the rain and thunderstorms because it's so calming but lately my dog is really scared of thunderstorms which led to her being scared of rain, so I've been starting to dread them.
ReplyDeleteI'm terrified of thunder. I have no idea why I do, but there ya go. Thankfully, my dog isn't scared of 'em, so he tends to comfort me. :P
ReplyDeletei love rain ^^ and storms just are awesome. i love to watch out of my window or stay on my balcony and get wet XD it's kind of soothing and terrefying all at once.
ReplyDeleteI love sitting inside and hearing the rain I also love the smell of rain!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the smell of rain on cement.
ReplyDeleteI love how gorgeous rain is. As Taylor Swift says, "There's something about the way the street looks when it just rains; there's a glow off the pavement..." Well, yeah. I think rain is beautiful. Clean. New. Refreshing. I love it.
ReplyDelete♥Jessica(:
I love the rain! I just wished I lived out in the country so I could see it's full beauty instead of the dirtiness running along the curb toward the gutter...
ReplyDeleteI like the rain if I'm in the house and I don't have to go anywhere.
ReplyDeletes2s2 at comcast dot net
I love the rain, I sleep better when it storms. And I love the smell of rain.
ReplyDeleteI love the rain...walking in it, sitting on the porch during it, hiding in bed reading and listening to it! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any good rain or storm stories. I love rainy or stormy days for the obvious reason that we always need the rain and I love the scent. But I also like how the stormy days give me energy and the rainy days make me reflective in my emotions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the hop and for the giveaway opportunity.
I love it when it rains and I can snuggle in my warm bed and just read, so relaxing. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, your prices/idea is so cool! I really like it!!!
ReplyDeleteAbout rain.. I have no cool story, unfortunately. As a child I often dreamt of thunderstorms hunting me. oô I do like rain, as long as it doesn't totally surprise me in the wrong moment. *grin*
THank you for this great giveaway!
I'm from the Pacific Northwest and so rain is like a second part of me. Living in the Midwest for the last year has been really weird because I'm so used to being wet.
ReplyDeleteThe rain can be anything it wants. It can be tough, it can be soft. It can be warm. It can be cold. That's why I love the rain. Because it isn't constant.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of rain and i love thunderstorms (as long as it's not a full week straight, i start to get cabin fever then). I do not like tornadoes though and yet i live in the heart of tornado alley with no storm shelter?...
ReplyDeleteI love a good thunderstorm at night. It sounds cool. I hate rain during the day; it makes the day seem so dreary. I'd be happiest if it was always sunny during the day, and it could rain whenever it wanted to at night. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE it! I think it is because in my city I don't see it frecuently, is like, just rain 4 or 5 times in the year. It really sucks D:
ReplyDeleteI don't like rain especially when it smells like worms.....yuk

rangers apprentice book 5 by john flanagan, untamed by p.c. cast and clockwork angel by cassandra clare.
thanks so much!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you, so much for hosting this amazing giveaway. :)

I LOVE rain and thunderstorms :) In fact, it just rained today! Very peaceful and relaxing :)
ReplyDeleteI guess my rain memory would be more of a general thing, rather than one specific one. There were a couple times in college where a friend or group of friends and I would just go run around and splash and laugh in the pouring rain. It was always just this amazing time. Although it always took FOREVER for my jeans to dry. lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love the rain. It reminds me of good memories. Yes i know im very sentimental! :D
We got caught in a storm once when we went camping. Our tent almost flew away with the strong wind, and it ripped. It was raining really really hard and we had to sleep under trees, and even though it sounds rough, it was actually really exciting and incredibly wet.
ReplyDeletei don't really remember anything about storm except when Tsunami struck my nearby countries. it was a terrible moment, the wind was so strong o_o.
ReplyDeleteI love & hate the rain. I love the rain when I don't have to work & I can sleep in & snuggle under the covers & I hate the rain when I have to walk to work & I get wet & I catch a cold.
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it smells so good, and is very calming and relaxing. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the rain when it hits my roof for some reason. And I also think that rainy days are the perfect time to read a book and drink hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE rain...where I live is very hot, and we barely get rain, I get so excited when it rains
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
I love the rain if there is thunder and lightning. If it is just one of those drizzly depressing days I always end up with a headache.
ReplyDeleteIf i am not going anywhere i LOOOOVE the rain, but i am not a fan of driving in it, because lets face it, people forget how to drive in the rain for some reason!
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it cools everything down... And rainbow comes afterwards, yay :D
ReplyDeleteDisincentive @ (read, watch, listen) - reviews
I love the rain because it washes everything away and it seems like you can start over again. lol
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the rain but i'm not a huge fan of being soaked :D
ReplyDeleteI love the rain. It has always been soothing to me. In the past couple of years here in the South , you don't get simply rain without tornadoes, or severe storms:(
ReplyDeleteI grew up in a small farming community, so I was taught to NEVER complain about rain because the grass and crops need it! We had a lot of droughts!
ReplyDeleteI love rain because it is very relaxing.

ReplyDeleteIn general, I love the rain when I'm inside and can watch and listen to it fall. Plus, nothing beats that smell outside after a good rain shower.
I just love the sound of the rain. It is so soothing
ReplyDeleteWell, I love rain, it's so nice and refreshing, just so long as it doesn't wreak any of my books!! It just clears the air, and makes things all nice and clean :)
ReplyDeleteI like the rain sometimes. When it rains, I like to just relax and read a book or watch a good movie. Today it was gloomy most of the day, but at one point, the sun came out and it was still raining. I love when that happens!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway!
I like listening to the rain when I'm indoors. Especially heavy rain. But not so much when I'm outdoors and getting wet. :P
ReplyDeleteI love when it rains. I get so depressed when it is sunny and hot. I like thunder storms a little but I am also scared of them. I love taking pictures or video of lightning.
ReplyDeleteHi, thank u for this amazing giveaway and making it international.

I hate thunderstorms, but I always run around in the rain in the summer. It makes me feel like a kid again. Yes, the neighbors all laugh at me- but some of them have joined in eventually. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the rain because there is nothing like spending a cozy day at home, listening to the rain, wearing sweats, cuddling under blankets, and reading a book. I hate storms because they always wake up the kids and no one ever gets any sleep on those nights.
ReplyDeleteLori
I love the rain because it makes me want to curl up on a couch with my blanket and read a book.
ReplyDeleteThere are 3 things that are the most amazing things to do when it rains. 4 actually. In order of favorites.
ReplyDelete4- Snoozing. Best. Ever.
3- Reading curled up on the couch listening to rain.
2- Dancing in the rain.
1- Smooching in the rain

When it's really hot, I like to stand in the rain. But in the winter, it only makes the weather colder and more depressing..
ReplyDeleteThe funniest thing I had was playing a scene from The Notebook with my boyfriend :p Running into his arms and kissing while the rain poured from the sky.
I love the rain and thunderstorms, too! I used to have to listen to a Thunderstorms CD in order to fall asleep!! I find the sound of the rain so relaxing, and the rumbling of thunder just makes me want to snuggle down into my bed!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
i just love watching the rain, it's so therapeutic! I always used to stand in my grandad's porch watching the rain with him when I was younger and it's nice to remember him that way.

When I was a kid I love rain! I love playing in it. Now as an adult, I forgot the joys of rain and whenever it rains it is just an annoyance that gets me wet when am hurrying from a building to my car...
ReplyDeleteOh I love rain as long as I'm not under it.. It would be fun to play in the rain, to run around like they do in the movies but it's no fun to get soaked after a long day of school/work. So as long as I'm at home, with a book in my lap I love it. Storms are kind of relaxing :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway and for making it international!
ReplyDeleteBut then, I've never experienced an amazingly bad storm so this could be another reason for it! :)

ReplyDeleteI know logically as an adult that it is the lightening that can cause the damage, but for some reason the thunder is what scares me.
ReplyDeleteIt was rain that taught me you should never fully rely on an electronic hand-held translator to try and communicate in a foreign language...

I love laying in bad listening to the rain on my roof. I hate the mud that rain brings though!
ReplyDeleteI like rain. No, I love rain. Especially the smell when it's over. It's refreshing. I like water so maybe I like rain because of that. Yeah, I'm a water person. I don't like thunder, tho. Hate it. It scares the hell out of me.
ReplyDeleteI like rain and thunderstorms. I was never afraid of sounds of thunder, even as a child. Once I was riding a bike very late in the evening during a heavy rain with lots of lightning and thunder, and it was an exciting experience.
ReplyDeleteThere is lot to love about rain. I love the sound on the foor which rain makes. I love the smell of grass after rain early in the spring. I love August rainstorms which are combined with rainbows!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rain so much, but not drizzle. I love thunderstorms, because it's sort of thrilling watching the storm clouds and thunder. I love it. I don't know why. But it makes me want to drink some tea and read a good book. :D
ReplyDeleteRain is so commonplace to me that I don't have any really great "during a storm" stories. My dog hates thunder, so we spent most of our time keeping him calm, but there's nothing greater than splashing through mud puddles once the rain stops.
ReplyDeleteI love the rain! I'm not really sure why, but ever since I was a little kid, I've loved watching thunderstorms.
ReplyDeleteI like the rain .Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI love the short rains in summer. When I stand under the thick clouds let the refreshing shower wash over me. And the rainbows...
ReplyDeleteI don't really like rain, it's more the lightning and thunder storms that I love. The flashes of lightning can be pretty amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of rain :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as I don't get wet I like rain. It is great for plants to get a drink.
ReplyDeleteI hate rain. I can see from the previous comments that I'm the only one. But when you live in a country ( Greece ) with a wonderful sun, when it is raining, we are very unhappy.

I hate the rain because it makes me tired and sleepy and I have a hard enough time getting up/staying up without the influence of sleepy-making rain
ReplyDeleteI love both the rain and thunderstorms.

I love rain. I have a tin roof and when it rains the sounds are so soothing.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved thunderstorms, ever since I was little. Other kids would judge me for that, but I couldn't help it, I loved the deep rolling of thunders and the sight of lightnings. No awesome love story to share about it though, sorry. ;)

ReplyDeleteI love the rain because it makes me feel calm and comfortable. Thanks for the giveaway!

I love dancing in the rain. Since I live in Florida we get some doozy storms. The last hurricane that came through, me and my friends had a dance party in out in the storm. Of course, that isn't the smartest thing to do, but it was fun!

The rain automatically puts me in a bad mood. I appreciate it, but it's too gloomy.
ReplyDeleteI have a hate/love relationship with rain.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
i love rain because it makes me sleep better so peaceful
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was a kid, we would go play in the rain on a warm summer day!
ReplyDeleteIt was the night of a hideously loud and frightening thunderstorm that my little brother was born!
