If you feel like commenting, I'd love to know what superstitions you have. Me, I believe I need to knock on wood to avoid being jinxed. One of my best friends needs to toss salt over her shoulder (even at busy restaurants) and my other best friend believes it's bad luck to spill a grain of salt. What do you believe is lucky/unlucky and why?

I'm actually a pretty weird person when it comes to superstitions. I knock on wood and I believe ladybugs are good luck and stuff like that but I also think black cats are adorable and 13 is an awesome number. So I guess I just believe the good luck ones :) Great giveaway by the way I want Spellbound sooo bad!

This is really silly, but I'm from Wisconsin and there are A LOT of deer around here, so I believe as long as I tell someone to drive safely and watch out for 4 legged animals or high speed beef and NOT say the word deer, they won't hit one! But if I forget and say the word, I jinx them! Really silly huh? lol

I don't really have one
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have any superstitions. I have always heard it is unlucky for a bird to fly into the house (unless it's a pet).

Thankyou!
ReplyDeleteIn Greece we have many superstitions. if you sneeze, it means that someone is talking about you. Ask someone around you to give you a 3 digit number. Count each digit together and then count down the alphabet. Whatever letter it falls on, is the initial of the person that is talking about you.
ReplyDeleteThe salt can be used to get rid of an unwanted human presence. It is also customary to sprinkle salt in a new house before you occupy it, as the salt will drive any evil out and away from you and your family. If two people say the same thing at the same time, they will look around for something red and hurry to touch it, while saying (touch red).
Thank you for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI have a few superstitions, I definitely do the knock on wood thing but I tend to use plastic it there is no wood around. It's all the same to me. The knocking is the important part. I also throw salt over my shoulder.
